The project demanded a substantial effort in terms of
engineering and manufacture in order to satisfy two major
conflicting requirements: a tight execution schedule
typical of large industrial projects and modifications
affecting some 700 tons in mid-stream. The latter was
caused by changing design criteria: the modifications have
been accomodated with minimum rework and disruption to the
project schedule.
Two interesting features of this large project are in the
extensive use of epoxy coated steel sheeting (the
proprietary and well known VERSACOR® product), and in the
highly developed
anti-corrosion paint of the structural
members, provided by SIGMA
PAINTS.
